My work has always been at the intersection between urban culture and classical renaissance art. In the themes that I address, gold has always been seen as something that corrupts, behind that we can see a metaphor for the times in which we live. Using VQGAN to “corrupt” images that I provide as input was a literal way of materializing this premise.
