RR Gruve (Base Edition)

The “RR” is for Real Righty but you can call it whatever you'd like - just not Rotten Ramen or anything like that. Maybe Rolls Royce or Randy Rhoads (the lead here is sometimes reminiscent of his style, RIP). Real Righty, or 'switch-handed' playing, is a project I've been working on patiently for close to two decades. Faced with coordination limitations and even numbness and pain in my L hand (fret-hand) due to an undependable technical foundation (my fault) and possible RSI - repetitive stress injury - I decided to 'start over' and train my R hand to grab notes instead of picking / strumming. Of course it wasn't a full return to “0” since already I know the neck notes and stuff. But it has been a very interesting and rewarding experiment...best thing is: Frustration's gone! I enjoy my playing more and am more confident about it. Btw my first switch-handed recordings were in 2022 and Eternal Inner Flame https://www.sound.xyz/elatedpixel/eternal-inner-flame is my favorite of those.
