Dirtbike
Erik Bulckens
When Marcel started his journey as a forensic expert, he suddenly had to learn a new skill (besides knowing how to determine the actual cause of an accident): photography. He was in a 'photography club' for a short while learning the basics of lighting, camera use, framing. This was a photo he took at a local dirtbike race, experimenting with framing and shutter speed. Before he became a forensic expert, Marcel was a motorcycle and car mechanic and in this function he assisted one of Belgium's early dirtbike champions. Many photos of dirtbike races can be found and there's also some with him in them. In his later photographs, outside the By Accident archive, I couldn't find a lot of interesting ones as he was less meticulous or maybe less focused in real life.
